New to CBD?
The amount of CBD you should take depends on a range of factors, most notably:

As with anything new, always start with a small dosage of CBD and increase slowly until you reach your desired effect. It may take days or weeks for your body to become fully acquainted with CBD before the physiological benefits are truly felt.
How do I use Prospect Farms CBD?
Shake well before every use. Drop desired dose directly under your tongue and hold for 30-60 seconds before swallowing.
How much should I take?
A good starting point is 5 mg for every 25 lbs of body weight. For example, we would recommend that a 200 lb. person start with 40 mg of CBD.
Is it possible to take too much CBD?
In short – No. A 2011 review (and 2017 update) on the safety and side effects of CBD found that continuous use of CBD, even in high doses such as 1500 mg per day, is tolerated well by humans.
While we recommend starting small, it is safe to consume slightly more or less based on weight (i.e. 50 mg vs 40 mg for the 200 lb. person just starting off).
