New to CBD?

The amount of CBD you should take depends on a range of factors, most notably:

-body weight
-metabolism
-individual body chemistry
-environmental factors such as diet, exercise and even surroundings (apartment versus suburban living)

As with anything new, always start with a small dosage of CBD and increase slowly. It may take a few days or even weeks for your pup to become fully acquainted with CBD before the calming or mobility benefits are truly observable.

How much should my dog take?

A good starting point is 5 mg for every 25 lbs of body weight. For example, we would recommend that a 45 lb. springer spaniel start with our "Medium Dog" which contains 10 mg of CBD in each full drop.

Is it possible to take too much CBD?

In short – No. A 2011 review (and 2017 update) on the safety and side effects of CBD found that continuous use of CBD, even in high doses such as 1500 mg per day, is tolerated well by humans.

While we recommend starting small, it is safe to consume slightly more or less CBD based on weight (i.e. 10 mg vs 20 mg for the 45 lb. springer spaniel just starting off) and increase from there.

However, it has not produced the calming effect we hoped for. I also find the dosing system to be difficult, as the eye dropper rarely fills to the 1 ml mark.

CBD Mobility

We have been able to get Amie our oldest dog off Gabapentin after a month using the 1/2 dose twice a day drops. She is back to her silly self. Still sleeps a lot. But not as restless as before. Thank you! She is a rescue pup! We love her.

Positive difference for my 2 dogs

I could tell a big difference in my 2 dogs that were not acting their age. Last year, one contracted lymes disease and the other anaplasmosis. Plus, one had a bad shoulder. I don't know if the tick diseases were the reason for their lethargy; but, regardless, this mobility CBD oil brought them back to life, looking happy and being much more active.

Unfortunately I did not notice any difference

I used this every day on my older pup (7 years old) that has some sore joints and limps a little. A friend recommended it because her dogs of the same age had the same issue and she said this oil helped them play like puppies again. Unfortunately I did not notice any improvement in my dog and she still walks around the same.

Love it!

This product has improved my dog’s quality of life so much. She was born in a shelter and spent the first year there, so is a little sensitive and anxious. When she was 3, she had to have both knees reconstructed. At 8, she was having stiffness and pain.
